Theater Instituut Nederland

Theater Instituut Nederland (TIN) is the heart of the theatre world. We document, support and promote Dutch theatre at home and abroad. The TIN has the largest theatre media centre and collection in Europe, organises debates and public exhibitions, promotes talent nationally and internationally and works for consensus within the theatre sector.
The TIN's collection began with the foundation of the Theatre Museum in 1926 and has since developed into a comprehensive databank of more than 90,000 productions, programmes and more than 75,000 books and plays. The museum collection includes paintings, photographs, prints, sketches, scale-models, costumes and an audio-visual archive of and about theatre productions. From the period of the Second World War, Theater Instituut Nederland has selected unique material for the Image Bank WW2.
