Erfgoedcentrum Achterhoek Liemers

The Erfgoedcentrum Achterhoek en Liemers (ECAL) documents records of importance as historical materials from eight municipalities in the Achterhoek. These municipalities are Aalten, Berkelland, Bronckhorst, Doetinchem, Montferland, Oost Gelre, Oude IJsselstreek en Winterswijk.
The Heritage Centre is a rich source of information about regional culture and history in the form of archives, image collections, books and documentation. You can go there to research your family tree, information about buildings, villages, towns and neighbourhoods, farm and field names, history of churches and associations and to read old newspapers.
