Regionaal Archief Alkmaar

The Regionaal Archief Alkmaar holds records of past and current civic administrations and associated agencies of Alkmaar, Anna Paulowna, Bergen, Castricum, Den Helder, Graft-De Rijp, Harenkarspel, Heerhugowaard, Heiloo, Langedijk, Niedorp, Schagen, Schermer, Wieringen, Wieringermeer and Zijpe, and a number of predecessors of the waterboard Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier. The Regionaal Archief also keeps archives of non-governmental organizations as well as personal (i.e. of local families) records and archives. There is a library, a topographic-historical image-collection and a small audiovisual collection.
